This could be the new Government Quarter
The projects ‘Adapt’ and ‘Lysning’ have been selected by the jury for the final round of the design competition for the new Government Quarter.
Aas Jakobsen is a member of the group known as ‘Team Urbis’, which has submitted the ‘Adapt’ concept. The project has been selected as one of two finalists in the competition to win the engineering design contract for the new Government Quarter.
‘Team Urbis’ is made up of:
Nordic Office of Architecture, Rambøll, SLA, Bjørbekk & Lindheim, Asplan Viak, COWI, Aas-Jakobsen, Per Rasmussen, Haptic Architects, Scenario and NIKU.
The project will now move into the next stage of development, which will involve negotiations with the Owner, the Norwegian Directorate of Public Construction and Property. The winning team is expected to be announced towards the end of 2017.
