Effective calculation tools are essential for working efficiently and purposefully to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in transportation infrastructure projects. Trane (“Tracking and Analysing Emissions”) is a new tool from the Aas-Jakobsen/Vianova network that calculates and visualizes sources of greenhouse gas emissions.
The tool enables the display of emissions from the beginning of the design phase, based on reference data, and is accessible to decision-makers when there is still the opportunity to make significant adjustments. Analyses can be continuously updated as the project progresses, offering increasingly precise assessments, whether from reference data or modeled objects, and accompanying all project phases from the early stages through to construction.
